Divija Paul Achieves Bronze in U13 Girls Category

Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], October 16: Divija Paul, the latest addition to Adani Sportsline's 'Garv Hai' initiative, secured a bronze medal in the U13 Girls division at the National Ranking Table Tennis Championship held in Panchkula from October 6 to 13, 2026. She currently holds the top rank in India for the Under 13 category.

This achievement follows her recent gold medal win in the U13 individual category at the WTT Youth Contender event in Puerto Princesa, Philippines, and her earlier victories in the U11 and U13 categories at the WTT Youth Contender tournaments in Vadodara in 2025 and 2026.

Panchkula is particularly significant for Paul, as it was here that she clinched her first National Championship title in the U11 category in 2023, a pivotal moment that inspired her to pursue table tennis professionally.

Originally from Silchar, Assam, Paul began her journey in table tennis at the age of six after being inspired by her cousin's performance at a local tournament. Her father, Dibyendu Paul, is employed at BSNL, while her mother, Deepshikha Paul, teaches at a government school. Currently, she is a Class VII student at KVS Silchar.

In addition to her recent bronze, Paul has previously won the U13 championship at the UTT National Ranking Table Tennis Championship in Delhi in 2025 and the U13 doubles title at the UTT National Table Tennis Championship in Gandhidham in the same year. With her current top ranking in India for the Under-13 category, she aspires to emulate China's Sun Yingsha, admiring her playing style and confidence.

Looking ahead, Paul is preparing to compete in the WTT Youth Contender Championship in Chennai, followed by the UTT National Ranking Championship in Jalandhar.

As a participant in the 'Garv Hai' program, Paul benefits from Adani Sportsline's support, which addresses significant challenges in her early career, such as access to high-quality equipment, travel for competitions, and strength and conditioning training. This assistance is crucial for her ambition to secure an Olympic gold medal for India in the future.

"Returning to Panchkula, where I won my first national title, and finishing on the podium is incredibly special. While I aimed for a higher placement, I take pride in this bronze and will learn from every match. The support from Adani Sportsline is invaluable, helping me overcome challenges like quality equipment and travel for tournaments. My parents and coaches have done everything possible for me, and now these obstacles will be lessened. My focus is on the upcoming events in Chennai and Jalandhar," stated Divija, as per the press release.
