Indian Golfers Compete at Women's Australian Open

Adelaide [Australia], March 12: Diksha Dagar is set to lead the Indian representation at the Women's Australian Open, part of the Ladies European Tour, which continues its stay in Australia. Alongside her, three other Indian golfers—Pranavi Urs, Avani Prashanth, and Hitaashee Bakshi—will also be competing, with Vani Kapoor joining as an invitee, bringing the total to five Indian participants this week.

Diksha's recent performance, where she finished in the Top-5, has propelled her into the Top-10 of the Order of Merit, boosting her confidence significantly.

This week, the tournament will feature Major Champions such as Hannah Green, Grace Kim, and Minjee Lee, marking the event's return to Adelaide for the first time since 2020.

In addition to the Major champions, Kelsey Bennett will also be a player to watch, having recently celebrated her first victory on the Ladies European Tour at the Australian Women’s Classic, where she triumphed by four strokes in front of her family and friends.

As she prepares for her home open at Kooyonga Golf Club, Bennett, who currently leads the 2026 LET Order of Merit, is filled with confidence as she competes against a strong field of Australian golfers.

This week’s Women’s Australian Open features 31 Australians, including World No. 4 Minjee Lee, World No. 9 Hannah Green, Major champion Grace Kim, and two-time LET winner Stephanie Kyriacou.

Returning to the LET schedule for the first time since 2016, the Women's Australian Open will take place at the picturesque Kooyonga Golf Club, where Bennett anticipates a challenging competition for all participants.

The tournament boasts a prize fund of 1.7 million Australian dollars, attracting a competitive field of 144 players.

Kooyonga Golf Club will serve as the venue for this week’s event, and while it’s a new course for Kyriacou, she is eager to participate in her home open.
