Indian Golfers Gear Up for PIF London Championship

London [UK], August 6: Diksha Dagar is set to lead the Indian representation at the USD 2 million PIF London Championship, marking the conclusion of the Ladies European Tour (LET) in the UK at the Centurion Club in Hertfordshire.

Alongside Diksha, fellow Indian golfers Aditi Ashok, Pranavi Urs, and newcomer Avani Prashanth will compete in a field of 120 players, all aiming to gain momentum as the LET season approaches its final stages.

Diksha, a two-time LET champion, has consistently performed well throughout the 2026 season. Despite not making the cut at the recent AIG Women’s Open, she remains the top-ranked Indian in eighth place on the LET Race to Costa del Sol standings, showcasing a season filled with several top-10 finishes.

She is now on the hunt for her third LET title and is also looking to surpass her best-ever finish on the Order of Merit, where she previously placed in the top three in 2023.

Aditi Ashok, a five-time LET winner, returns to a familiar venue as she balances her commitments between the LPGA Tour and the LET. Although she has not yet found her best form this season, she hopes to regain the consistency that has made her one of the Tour's standout players.

Pranavi Urs has had a promising season, currently positioned within the top 50 on the Order of Merit, while rookie Avani Prashanth has made a strong impression in her first LET season, also ranking comfortably in the top 50. Three of the four Indian players are presently within the top 60 on the Race to Costa del Sol standings.

The PIF London Championship returns to the Centurion Club for the sixth consecutive year, featuring a competitive international field vying for a total purse of $2 million over 72 holes. The cut will be made after 36 holes, allowing the top 60 professionals and ties to advance.

Germany's Laura Funfstuck, who won her first LET title here last year with a birdie on the final hole, will not be defending her title as she is currently on maternity leave.

Leading the field is English golfer Charley Hull, ranked world No. 6 and the winner of the 2026 PIF Saudi Ladies International. She is joined by LET Order of Merit leader Casandra Alexander from South Africa and reigning 2025 Order of Merit champion Shannon Tan from Singapore, who recently achieved a career-best tied-sixth finish at the AIG Women’s Open at Royal Lytham and St Annes.

Tan, who claimed victory at the 2025 Hero Women’s Indian Open, expressed that her performance at the season's final major has significantly boosted her confidence as she prepares for a busy schedule in Europe.
