At 6'5", the 25-year-old was part of India's extended Davis Cup World Group I squad in 2024 and made a notable debut in the September 2025 tie against Switzerland, where he triumphed over the higher-ranked Jerome Kym with scores of 7-6(4), 6-3, helping India secure a historic 3-1 victory on Swiss soil.

Reflecting on his upcoming participation, Dhakshineswar expressed, "Competing at the Bengaluru Open ATP Challenger is a moment of pride for me, especially in front of my home crowd. This tournament has consistently offered Indian players a premier platform to challenge themselves against top-tier international competitors, and I appreciate the efforts of the Karnataka State Lawn Tennis Association. His experience in the US collegiate tennis system, where he played for prestigious programs at Wake Forest University and Georgia Gwinnett College, will also serve him well.

Sunil Yajaman, Tournament Director and Joint Secretary of KSLTA, remarked, "We are thrilled to offer a wild card entry to Dhakshineswar Suresh for the singles main draw of the Bengaluru Open. He has shown remarkable potential and accomplishments in the limited events he has participated in, and his role in India's Davis Cup victory against Switzerland was pivotal. This opportunity underscores our dedication to nurturing emerging talent and enhancing India's representation in this ATP Challenger event. We wish Dhakshineswar the best of luck in the competition and hope this aids in his career advancement."

Organized by the Karnataka State Lawn Tennis Association (KSLTA), the Bengaluru Open continues to bolster and support India's tennis landscape. Over the years, the tournament has provided Indian players with essential exposure to high-caliber international competition on home turf.
