Windhoek, Namibia - On September 7, South African cricketer Dewald Brevis reached a significant milestone by tying with former player JP Duminy as the joint fourth-highest six-hitter for South Africa in T20 International cricket.

Brevis accomplished this during the tri-nation series final against Zimbabwe, where he scored 32 runs off 23 balls, hitting two fours and two sixes, achieving a strike rate exceeding 129.

With this performance, Brevis now has a total of 71 sixes in just 35 T20I matches, matching Duminy's tally of 71 sixes but in 81 matches. The leading six-hitters for South Africa in T20Is are David Miller (139), Quinton de Kock (133), and Aiden Markram (83).

He was named 'Player of the Series' after amassing 226 runs across five innings, averaging 56.50 with a strike rate above 166, including two fifties and a top score of 75*. Throughout the series, he hit 16 sixes.
