Dani Ceballos Announces Departure from Real Madrid After Seven Seasons
Ceballos Bids Farewell to Real Madrid
Madrid [Spain], June 27: Dani Ceballos, the talented midfielder, revealed on Friday that he will be parting ways with Real Madrid after a remarkable seven-year tenure with the club.
The 29-year-old player joined Real Madrid from Real Betis in 2017, accumulating a total of 215 appearances and securing 16 trophies, which include three UEFA Champions League titles.
Additionally, Ceballos had a two-season loan spell at Arsenal from 2019 to 2021.
In a heartfelt statement shared on X, Ceballos expressed, "This decision has not come easily. This past year has also been challenging, and perhaps that is why I feel it is time to conclude this chapter and embrace a new challenge with the same enthusiasm I had when I first arrived."
Real Madrid acknowledged his departure through an official statement, expressing gratitude for his contributions.
"Real Madrid extends its thanks to Dani Ceballos for his commitment and dedication while wearing our jersey. We wish him and his family the best in this new phase of their lives. Real Madrid will always be his home," the statement read.
In his final season, Ceballos faced difficulties in securing consistent playing time due to injuries, making only 23 appearances across all competitions and starting just four matches in LaLiga.
