On September 14, cricketers Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane, and Cheteshwar Pujara took to social media to share their warm wishes for Ganesh Chaturthi.

Ganesh Chaturthi marks the birth of Lord Ganesha and is celebrated with various traditional rituals, prayers, and community gatherings.


Prime Minister Narendra Modi also conveyed his wishes, expressing hope that the "Vighnaharta" (remover of obstacles) brings renewed energy and strength to everyone, guiding the nation towards ongoing development.


In his message shared on X, he stated, "Heartfelt Ganesh Chaturthi wishes to all my fellow citizens. May this sacred festival of darshan and worship of the remover of obstacles infuse new energy and fresh enthusiasm into everyone’s lives. May all endeavours succeed through his divine blessings, and may the nation continue to advance on the path of constant progress—this is my prayer. Ganpati Bappa Morya!"


The Prime Minister also included verses from the traditional Ganesha Pancharatnam stotram in his post.


President Droupadi Murmu joined in the celebrations by sending her warm greetings to citizens in India and around the world, encouraging everyone to draw inspiration from this sacred festival and commit to nation-building.


In her message, she emphasized that Lord Ganesha represents wisdom, prosperity, and new beginnings, motivating society to pursue fresh resolutions and progress.
