Cape Town [South Africa], August 11: Chris Morris, a former all-rounder for South Africa, has expressed that Ajinkya Rahane's extensive experience and composure could make him a significant asset for any overseas T20 franchise. This statement comes as the SA20 prepares for its fifth-season auction, where Joe Root has been announced as the pre-signed wildcard player for the Paarl Royals.

Morris, who played alongside Rahane at Rajasthan Royals during IPL 2025, shared his thoughts during a discussion organized by SA20 ahead of the auction.

When asked about the potential interest from SA20 teams in the former Indian captain, Morris stated, "Absolutely. He brings a wealth of experience and is a remarkable individual. Having shared a dressing room with him, I can attest to his character. His calmness under pressure makes him a desirable player for any team."
