Cheteshwar Pujara, a former Indian cricketer, has expressed his admiration for Ravindra Jadeja's development as a Test player. He notes that Jadeja has shifted from being a primarily defensive bowler to one who actively seeks wickets in recent years.

Jadeja has emerged as one of India's key match-winners in Test cricket, showcasing not only his remarkable precision but also a more aggressive bowling style.

In addition to his wicket-taking abilities, Jadeja has made significant contributions with the bat, solidifying his status as one of the top all-rounders in the format.

Pujara remarked, "In the past, Jadeja's bowling strategy was focused on minimizing runs, particularly in red-ball matches. He would only aim for wickets when the pitch offered assistance. Otherwise, his priority was to limit the scoring." This statement was made during an interview on JioStar, prior to India's Test series against Sri Lanka starting on August 15.
