In Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, on September 22, Indian karateka Chetan Bhatt faced disappointment as he lost his bronze medal bout in the men's 84 kg kumite category. The match against Meng-yu Chu from Chinese Taipei ended in a tie at 1-1, but Meng-yu was awarded the victory based on senshu.

Earlier in the day, Chetan was defeated 8-0 by Jordan's Mohammad Al-Jafari during the men's singles karate semifinal, struggling to score any points throughout the match, which led him to the bronze medal contest in his weight class, according to reports from ESPN.

In swimming, Aryan Nehra placed fourth in Finals B of the men's 1,500-meter freestyle event. However, this result is less significant as it involved slower competitors and was primarily a participation round.
