Pedro Highlights Palmer's Impact on Chelsea's Attack

London [UK], October 13: As Chelsea prepares for their Premier League match against Everton, Joao Pedro has praised teammate Cole Palmer, calling him a "beast and a complete player." Pedro shared insights into the team's impressive goal-scoring performance this season.

Set to face off on October 17, Chelsea and Everton are currently positioned fifth and sixth in the league. Chelsea has achieved three victories, one draw, and two losses, netting 15 goals so far—ranking among the top scorers this season, trailing only Brighton (18) and Manchester City (16).

In an interview with JioStar, Pedro, who is Chelsea's leading scorer with five goals, spoke highly of Palmer, stating, "Cole Palmer is a beast; he can score, assist, and even convert free kicks. He is a complete player, which makes him exceptional. His remarkable goals against Fulham and Brighton showcase his talent, and that's why everyone recognizes him as a special player."

Palmer has contributed two goals this season, while Pedro leads the team, followed by Morgan Rogers with four goals. Jordan Henderson has also found the net twice.

Discussing the team's scoring prowess, Pedro noted that the front three are creating numerous opportunities, with support from midfielders and defenders during set pieces, making the team a versatile attacking threat. "Everyone is eager to score, and our coach Xabi Alonso emphasizes the importance of focus and connection during the game, which has led to our goal-scoring success. We create many chances, and that translates into goals. It's a collective effort, with contributions from Cole, Morgan, and myself, as well as from the midfield and defense," he explained.

Pedro also praised manager Xabi Alonso for his passion and drive to win. "Xabi is very approachable and understands our mindset as a former player. His enthusiasm for winning every match aligns with our goals," he added.

On his role in the attacking trio alongside Palmer and Rogers, Pedro stated, "My job is straightforward. I aim to get the ball to Palmer, who consistently finds the back of the net. For Morgan, I try to set him up in one-on-one situations against defenders. Once he beats his man, he usually passes it to me, and my responsibility is to make the runs and finish the chances."
