The Reliance Foundation Development League (RFDL) Japan Exposure Tour wrapped up successfully, with Bengaluru FC and FC Goa achieving notable victories on the final day, while Punjab FC faced a heartbreaking draw that led to a penalty shootout.

This exposure tour featured the top three teams from the RFDL 2025-26 season—Bengaluru FC, FC Goa, and Punjab FC—competing against some of Japan's finest youth teams from June 11 to June 20.

-Bengaluru FC Ends Tour with Perfect Record

Bengaluru FC concluded their tour without a loss, drawing 0-0 with Avispa Fukuoka before triumphing 4-3 in the penalty shootout. The team demonstrated strong defensive skills and maintained their composure during the shootout, achieving three wins in three matches.

-FC Goa Celebrates First Victory

FC Goa finished their tour on a high note, securing a 3-1 win against Giravanz Kitakyushu. Malsawmtluanga scored early in the 10th minute, giving Goa the lead. After Sojiro equalized shortly after halftime, Goa responded with goals from Sitroy Carvalho and Shawn Fernandes in the second half, marking their first win of the tour.

-Punjab FC's Late Heartbreak

Punjab FC seemed poised for victory after Singamayum Shami's goal in the 38th minute against Baleine Shimonoseki. However, Koyama Hanu equalized in stoppage time, forcing a penalty shootout where Punjab narrowly lost 7-6 despite a commendable effort.

The Japan Exposure Tour, organized by the Reliance Foundation as part of the RFDL initiative, offered India's top U-21 clubs invaluable international exposure against Japanese teams. The players faced diverse playing styles and high-intensity competition, providing essential learning experiences both on and off the field.
