Greet Minnen's Key Victory

In Ostend, Greet Minnen, ranked 149th in the world, delivered a stunning performance, defeating Iva Jovic with a score of 7-5, 6-3. This victory marked Belgium's return to the finals for the first time since 2022.

Britain's Strong Performance

Britain secured their spot with a 3-1 triumph over Australia in Melbourne. After establishing a 2-0 lead from the singles matches on Friday, Harriet Dart and Jodie Burrage clinched the tie with a doubles win, defeating Storm Hunter and Ellen Perez 6-3, 6-4, ending the Australians' unbeaten streak in doubles since November 2022.

Italy's Continued Success

Defending champions Italy also advanced, achieving a 3-1 victory against Japan on home soil in Velletri. With a 2-0 lead from the previous day, Jasmine Paolini and Sara Errani sealed the tie by overcoming Shuko Aoyama and Eri Hozumi with a score of 6-2, 7-5 in doubles.

Czech Republic's Narrow Victory

In another thrilling encounter, the Czech Republic edged past Switzerland with a 3-2 victory. Marie Bouzkova secured the win by defeating Viktorija Golubic 7-6(4), 6-3 in the final singles match.
