The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has dismissed the speculation surrounding Rohit Sharma's retirement, affirming that he will remain an active player for Team India. These retirement rumors emerged during the second ODI match between India and England, suggesting that Rohit might announce his retirement after the series. Additionally, there were claims that he would not be selected for future matches. However, Rohit silenced his critics by scoring a century in the third ODI, making history as the first Indian to achieve this feat at Lord's Cricket Ground.

Following the match at Lord's, the BCCI addressed the rumors, stating that there is no truth to the retirement claims.
