Bangladesh to Host India for ODI and T20I Series in September
Upcoming Series Announcement
On Friday, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) revealed plans to welcome India for a series consisting of three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three T20 Internationals, scheduled for September this year.
Despite this announcement, it remains uncertain whether the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will agree to send their team to Bangladesh, given the current political instability in the region.
As per the BCB's official statement, the ODIs are set to take place on September 1, 3, and 6, followed by the T20Is on September 9, 12, and 13.
The Indian squad is expected to arrive in Bangladesh on August 28 to prepare for the limited-overs matches.
Last July, India's planned tour to Bangladesh was postponed indefinitely, with the six-match white-ball series delayed for over a year.
The BCCI had previously announced that the white-ball series, which includes three ODIs and three T20Is, would be rescheduled from August 2025 to September 2026, following discussions between the two boards to accommodate international cricket commitments.
The BCB expressed enthusiasm about hosting India in September 2026 for this highly anticipated series, with further details regarding dates and fixtures to be shared later.
