Bangladesh Secures Historic Win Against Pakistan
In a remarkable achievement, Bangladesh clinched their first Test series victory against Pakistan on home turf, winning the second Test by 78 runs. This triumph allowed the Tigers to complete a 2-0 series whitewash over Shan Masood's team. With this significant win, Bangladesh has gained a substantial edge over India in the World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 standings.
So far, Bangladesh has participated in four Tests during the WTC 2025-27 cycle, securing two victories and one draw, accumulating 28 points with a PCT of 58.33. This performance has propelled them to the 5th position in the points table, pushing India down to 6th place. Bangladesh Triumphs in Second Test Against Pakistan
Choosing to bowl first, Pakistan initially troubled the Bangladeshi batsmen, reducing them to 116/6. However, a stellar counterattack led by Litton Das, who scored 126 runs, helped Bangladesh recover to a total of 278. Pakistan responded with 232 runs, giving Bangladesh a vital first-innings lead.
