Australia A Triumphs Over India A

In a commanding performance, Tess Flintoff led Australia A to a convincing six-wicket victory against India A during the first match of their unofficial tour at Mullanpur on Saturday. This series includes three T20 matches, three One-day internationals, and a multi-day game.


Choosing to bat first, Indian captain Anushka Sharma witnessed her team falter as Flintoff delivered a stunning bowling display, claiming 4 wickets for just 12 runs. Sianna Ginger and Milly Illingworth also contributed significantly, each taking two wickets, which resulted in India A being bowled out for a mere 117 runs in 19 overs. The top scorers for India were Minnu Mani with 23 runs and Tejal Hasabnis with 22 runs, as they struggled against the Australian bowlers.


Chasing a modest target, the Australian team made quick work of the innings, with Charli Knott scoring 35 runs and Anika Learoyd adding 33 runs, successfully reaching 121 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in just 14 overs.
