Amelia Kerr, the talented cricketer from New Zealand, made headlines by scoring an impressive 105 runs off just 55 balls during the fifth T20I match against South Africa women at Hagley Oval in Christchurch. Over the past few years, Kerr has showcased exceptional form, establishing herself as one of the leading all-rounders globally. Her century not only marked a personal milestone but also extended her record for the most consecutive T20I innings scoring 30 or more runs to 11. This achievement surpassed the previous record held by Sri Lanka's Chamari Athapaththu and Romania's Rebecca Blake, who both had nine consecutive scores of 30+. In the men's T20I format, the record was shared by Mohammad Rizwan, Rohit Sharma, and Abhishek Sharma, each with seven consecutive scores of 30 or more.

Kerr's outstanding form began with a score of 43 off 38 balls against South Africa in 2024, followed by a stellar 51 off 46 against Australia in 2025. She continued her impressive streak in the series against Australia, scoring 40 off 36 and 66 off 47. In her subsequent match against Zimbabwe, she achieved a remarkable 101 runs in just 51 balls, along with another score of 82 off 52. Throughout the current series, her contributions included scores of 78, 32, 30, 31, and the recent century, playing a crucial role in New Zealand's series victory.


In her last 11 innings, Kerr has amassed a total of 669 runs with a strike rate exceeding 140, while also excelling with the ball, claiming 12 wickets. Recently, she set a record as the fastest player to reach both 1000 runs and 100 wickets in women's T20Is among full ICC members.
