Afghanistan's Impressive Batting Display

On Wednesday, Afghanistan showcased a remarkable performance in the U-19 World Cup semifinal, scoring a formidable 310 runs for the loss of four wickets against a strong Indian side.

Faisal Shinozada was the standout performer, amassing 110 runs from 93 balls, while Uzairullah Niazai contributed significantly with an unbeaten 101 runs off 86 balls, as the Indian bowlers struggled to take wickets consistently.

Choosing to bat first, Afghanistan got off to a promising start with their opening pair, Osman Sadat and Khalid Ahmadzai, putting together a partnership of 53 runs before pacer Deepesh Devendran claimed the first wicket in the 13th over.

Devendran's delivery was a length ball that caught Ahmadzai's inside edge, leading to a catch by wicketkeeper Abhigyan Kundu. Ahmadzai scored 31 runs off 39 balls.

Faisal then formed a solid partnership of 64 runs for the second wicket with Sadat, setting a strong foundation for Afghanistan's innings.

However, Indian spinner Kanishk Chouhan made a breakthrough at the start of the 25th over, dismissing Sadat, who scored 39 runs off 70 balls, after he played a loose shot that was caught at long-off.

Following Sadat's exit, Faisal found a reliable partner in Niazai, and together they built a significant third-wicket partnership. Faisal hit 15 boundaries, while Niazai struck 12 fours and cleared the boundary twice.
