On Sunday, dynamic opener Abhishek Sharma expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the Indian team management for their unwavering support, especially during a challenging phase in the T20 World Cup when he began to question his own abilities.

In the final against New Zealand, Abhishek delivered a stellar performance, scoring 52 runs off just 21 balls, which set the tone for India's explosive innings. Batting first, India amassed a total of 255 runs for the loss of 5 wickets, ultimately winning the match by a significant margin of 96 runs, marking them as the first team to defend the T20 World Cup title successfully.


"I wanted to express this earlier, but today feels like the right moment. The captain and coach believed in me, even when I was struggling with self-doubt. This tournament was unlike anything I had faced before," Abhishek shared following the match.


"I focused on my process, taking it one game at a time, but it was a tough journey. I truly appreciate this team for their support.
