CJP's Unique Protest at Jantar Mantar

Abhijeet Dipke, the founder of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), was spotted engaging in a game of cricket with fellow demonstrators at Jantar Mantar. A light-hearted video shared by the CJP on social media showcased Dipke and others taking a brief respite from their protest to enjoy the sport. The post aimed to motivate Gen Z and younger individuals to participate in the protest and support the cause. "Cockroaches, it's morning! Come to Jantar Mantar. This is a Gen Z protest, featuring a bit of cricket and a bit of movement," the CJP's post on their X account stated.

The CJP organized their second significant protest at Jantar Mantar on June 20 in New Delhi, focusing on issues such as exam paper leaks, irregularities in recruitment tests, and student suicides. Dipke had requested the Delhi Police to allow the protest to continue, but this request was denied. Consequently, the police began a peaceful evacuation process. While many participants left the area, Dipke and a few student leaders from AISA chose to remain on stage. On Sunday morning, Dipke called on Gen Z to join the protest, though it remains unclear if he received permission to continue the demonstration on that day.

Open Letter to PM Modi

Prior to the protest at Jantar Mantar, Dipke addressed an open letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, voicing his concerns regarding the paper leaks that have reportedly contributed to student suicides. In his correspondence, he reiterated the CJP's demand for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in light of the NEET paper leak scandal. "The Cockroach Janta Party has been advocating for the education minister's resignation for the past month and has been protesting nationwide for our demands. All we students seek is accountability for the lives lost," he expressed in the letter.
