In a thrilling match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) achieved a convincing eight-wicket victory against the Mumbai Indians (MI). They successfully chased down a target of 160 runs with 11 balls remaining, moving up to sixth place in the league standings.

After the match, Rohit Pawar, an MLA from the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), praised the contributions of players from the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) in CSK's success. He took to social media platform X to express his pride, stating, "In the #IPL2026 match, CSK triumphed over MI by 8 wickets. Notably, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ramakrishna Ghosh, and Mukesh Choudhary from MCA played pivotal roles in this victory. This marks the first time in IPL history that three MCA players represented the same team, a significant achievement!"

During the match, MI batted first, scoring 159 runs for the loss of 7 wickets, with Naman Dhir contributing 57 runs and Ryan Rickelton adding a brisk 37. CSK's bowlers, particularly Anshul Kamboj with 3 wickets and Noor Ahmad with 2, effectively restricted MI's scoring, especially in the final overs.
