Khaleel Ahmed's Injury Sidelines Him from IPL
New Delhi: Khaleel Ahmed, the fast bowler for Chennai Super Kings, has been officially ruled out of the IPL season due to a quadriceps injury.
The pacer, who participated in all five matches played by CSK so far, experienced discomfort in his right hip during the recent match against KKR on April 14.
Ahmed had been a reliable player for CSK during the tournament's early phase.
According to an IPL insider, "It is a grade 2 tear, and the rehabilitation process will require a minimum of 10 to 12 weeks."
The left-arm bowler has represented India in 11 ODIs and 18 T20 matches, with his last game occurring in July 2024.
