Potential Changes at Chelsea

Chelsea is poised for a transformative summer, with Alejandro Garnacho and Enzo Fernandez at the forefront of transfer discussions.

Loan Speculation Surrounding Alejandro Garnacho

Reports indicate that Garnacho might be temporarily departing Stamford Bridge, as River Plate's manager, Eduardo Coudet, has reached out to the winger to persuade him for a loan move to South America. Since joining Chelsea from Manchester United last summer, Garnacho has had a challenging time, netting only one goal in 20 Premier League matches.

Chelsea appears willing to let the 21-year-old go on loan, considering River Plate a suitable option for him to gain essential experience. However, Garnacho's current salary may pose a challenge for any club in South America.

Interestingly, Garnacho has previously mentioned his family's allegiance to Boca Juniors, River Plate's arch-rivals. In an interview with ESPN in 2024, he stated, 'My family has always been a fan of Boca in Argentine football, so I'm also in favor of that team, Boca Juniors.'

This season, across all competitions, Garnacho has managed to score eight goals and provide four assists for Chelsea.

Enzo Fernandez's Desire to Leave

In another development, Enzo Fernandez is reportedly gearing up to file a transfer request to facilitate a move to Real Madrid. The midfielder was omitted from Chelsea's FA Cup quarter-final squad against Port Vale and will also miss the upcoming Premier League match against Manchester City.

This exclusion came after disciplinary measures were taken following Fernandez's comments expressing his admiration for Real Madrid. His agent, Javier Pastore, has criticized Chelsea for the disciplinary action and noted that no agreement has been reached regarding a new contract.

According to Spanish media, Fernandez is feeling discontent at Stamford Bridge and is prepared to take decisive action by formally requesting a transfer.
