Brock Lesnar's Surprising Retirement and Titles He Never Held in WWE
Brock Lesnar Announces Retirement
In a stunning turn of events, Brock Lesnar declared his retirement from WWE following a defeat to Oba Femi during the opening match of Wrestlemania 42's second night. Femi, who had a commanding presence throughout the lead-up to Wrestlemania, managed to pin Lesnar, marking a significant debut at the event. Lesnar, who made a significant impact upon his own main roster debut, appears to have concluded his WWE journey after 24 years, as he is notably absent from the SummerSlam 2026 promotional materials.
Titles Brock Lesnar Never Secured
United States Championship
Throughout his illustrious career, Brock Lesnar never captured the United States Championship in WWE. After making his debut on Raw post-Wrestlemania 18, he quickly ascended to the main event scene, winning the Undisputed Championship from The Rock just five months later. Lesnar's first Wrestlemania appearance was also in a main event against Kurt Angle.
Intercontinental Championship
Lesnar was never positioned as a mid-card competitor, which is why he did not win the Intercontinental Championship. This title is often seen as a stepping stone for many future champions, yet it eluded Lesnar. WWE had teased a potential match between him and Gunther, the then-IC Champion, for Wrestlemania 39, but it ultimately did not take place.
World Heavyweight Championship
Introduced in 2023, the new World Heavyweight Championship was another title that Lesnar never held. He was not part of the tournament to crown the inaugural champion and did not compete for this title. His last world championship victory came at the Elimination Chamber, where he defeated Bobby Lashley for the WWE Championship, only to lose it to Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania 38. Since February 2022, Lesnar has not won any titles, despite being involved in several high-profile storylines.
