Bharat Arun Joins Lucknow Super Giants as Bowling Coach

Bharat Arun, the former bowling coach of the Indian national team, has been appointed as the new bowling coach for Lucknow Super Giants. After a successful four-year stint with Kolkata Knight Riders, Arun's expertise is expected to enhance LSG's bowling strategy both during the IPL and in the off-season. His transition comes as part of a broader initiative to develop players year-round, indicating a strategic shift for the franchise. This move may also signal the end of Zaheer Khan's involvement with LSG, as the team aims for a more structured approach to player development.

Bharat Arun's New Role with Lucknow Super Giants

Bharat Arun, the former bowling coach for the Indian national cricket team and a previous member of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), is set to take on the role of bowling coach for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). Reports indicate that Arun has signed a two-year contract with the franchise owned by Sanjiv Goenka, allowing him to work closely with the team's bowlers not just during the IPL season but also throughout the off-season as part of a comprehensive player development initiative.

Arun has been with KKR for four consecutive years since the 2022 season.

Known for his technical expertise, Arun played a pivotal role in establishing KKR's bowling lineup as one of the tournament's most formidable.

Sources suggest that Arun's departure from KKR was amicable. With Dwayne Bravo already involved in KKR's bowling strategy as a mentor, both parties agreed that having overlapping roles might not serve the team's best interests. KKR's commitment to fostering professional growth for its staff facilitated this transition.

His appointment could signal the end of Zaheer Khan's tenure with the franchise. LSG seems determined to invest in a year-round, structured support system for its bowlers, making Bharat Arun a fitting choice for this vision.
