The event will take place from June 17 to 21 at the National Tennis Centre, showcasing the best in women's and men's pickleball. Don't miss the chance to see who will emerge victorious in this prestigious tournament.

Exciting Tournament Ahead

The PPA Tour Asia is preparing for one of its most anticipated events, the Beijing Open, scheduled to take place at the National Tennis Centre from June 17 to 21. This tournament will include all five competitive events. In the women's category, well-known rivals are set to compete for top honors. Chao Yi Wang is the top seed in Women's Singles, Women's Doubles, and Mixed Doubles, while Sahra Dennehy holds the second seed in all three categories. Their leading positions highlight their dominance on the Asian circuit, positioning them for a potential triple crown in Beijing.

At the previous PPA Tour Asia event in China, Dennehy triumphed over Wang with scores of 11-7, 11-2 to secure the Women's Singles title at the Hangzhou Open. In the upcoming Beijing Open, they have been placed in opposite halves of the draw, making a direct encounter before the finals unlikely. However, both players will face tough competition. China's Yufei Long, who clinched four Women's Singles gold medals in 2025, is eager to bounce back and impress her home crowd after a disappointing performance in 2026, where she only managed one podium finish. Additionally, Lingwei Kong is rapidly ascending the ranks after her debut at the Macao Open in May, now seeded within the top five across all three events.

Men's Competition Heats Up

The men's tournament promises its own excitement. American Zane Ford will be making his debut in the PPA Tour Asia as the top seed in Men's Singles. After earning a bronze medal in Singles at the PPA Finals 500 in the US last month, Ford is eager to make a significant impact in Asia.

His main competitor is expected to be Vietnam's Hien Truong, seeded second, who has been a standout performer this season, having won in Kuala Lumpur in May. A strong performance in Beijing is anticipated as he aims to solidify his status among the leading contenders on the tour.

In the men's doubles category, the top-seeded duo of Jack Wong Hong-Kit and Eunggwon Kim will look to maintain their impressive form. Together, they have secured five medals, including one silver and four bronze, and are determined to capture their first elusive gold medal.
