BCCI Implements New Safety Guidelines for IPL Victory Celebrations
New Regulations Following Tragic Incident
In light of the tragic loss of 11 lives during a recent victory parade on June 4, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has introduced a comprehensive set of 10 guidelines aimed at ensuring safety during celebrations following the Indian Premier League (IPL) Trophy wins. This decision came after an Apex Council meeting where various issues, including protocols for victory parades, were discussed.
Although the BCCI initially distanced itself from the incident, interim president Devajit Saikia voiced strong concerns regarding the situation. He emphasized the board's commitment to addressing safety risks to prevent future tragedies, stating that all winning teams must adhere to these new guidelines before participating in any celebratory events.

The recent RCB victory parade took place immediately after the team secured the trophy, reportedly due to some players' urgency to leave the country. The Karnataka Police had previously alerted the government about the necessary security measures for both players and local residents, which were unfortunately ignored.
In response to the tragedy, RCB has pledged INR 10 lakhs to each family of the deceased fans, while the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) has committed INR 5 lakhs to each affected family.
Additionally, the Head of Marketing for RCB and two representatives from DNA Entertainment have been detained. Meanwhile, the Secretary and Treasurer of KSCA have resigned, citing moral responsibility.
