Bangladesh Unveils Fresh Squad for Upcoming T20I Series Against New Zealand

Bangladesh has announced a revamped squad for the upcoming T20I series against New Zealand, starting April 27 in Chattogram. Bangladesh's New Squad Announcement for T20I Series

Bangladesh has revealed its team for the initial two T20I matches against New Zealand, set to kick off on April 27 in Chattogram. The team has opted for a revamped fast bowling lineup, resting key players such as Mustafizur Rahman, Taskin Ahmed, and Nahid Rana, according to the ICC.


Abdul Gaffar Saqlain, a pace bowling allrounder known for his batting capabilities, has earned his first T20I call-up. Additionally, Ripon Mondal, recognized for his effective death bowling, has been included in the squad as a reward for his consistent performances. The 23-year-old has previously participated in three T20 matches for Bangladesh, all during the 2023 Asian Games cricket event.


The second T20I will also take place in Chattogram on April 29, while the series finale is scheduled for May 2 at Dhaka's Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.


Currently, Bangladesh is competing with New Zealand in the ODI format, having bounced back in the second ODI to secure a six-wicket victory after losing the first match by 26 runs.
