Bangladesh Cricket Board Unveils Exciting 2026 Home International Schedule
Bangladesh's Upcoming International Cricket Calendar
On Friday, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) revealed an extensive home international schedule for the 2026 cricket season. Notably, India is expected to visit Bangladesh for a white-ball series during August and September 2026.
Details of the 2026 Home Season
The 2026 season will feature a total of four Test matches, 12 One Day Internationals (ODIs), and nine Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). Among these, India will play three ODIs and three T20Is against Bangladesh, as reported by ESPNcricinfo.
Rescheduling of India's Tour
Originally, India's tour was set for August 2025 but has now been postponed to September 2026. This change was made through a mutual agreement between the BCB and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) last year. The series will consist of three ODIs and three T20Is.
Review of India's Last Tour
India's most recent visit to Bangladesh occurred in 2024, where they played a three-match T20I series, winning all three games (3-0), followed by a two-match Test series, which they also won (2-0).
Comprehensive 2026 Home Season Overview
The home season for Bangladesh will kick off in March, following the men's T20 World Cup. Pakistan is scheduled to visit for a three-match ODI series and will return in May for a two-Test series. Additionally, New Zealand will tour in April and May for a complete white-ball series, including three ODIs and three T20Is. Australia is also set to arrive in June for a white-ball series featuring three ODIs and three T20Is. The season will wrap up with a two-Test series against the West Indies in October-November.
