Ayushmann Khurrana, renowned for his role in ‘Vicky Donor’, has taken a significant step by sponsoring a rifle for Meghana Sajjanar, the current gold medallist at the Asian Championship. This gesture came to light after Khurrana learned about the challenges Sajjanar faced regarding her shooting equipment.

Despite not having met Sajjanar before, Khurrana's willingness to support her reflects his desire to see Indian athletes succeed on the international stage. His sponsorship has provided her with access to top-tier equipment, enabling her to train and compete without any limitations.

In a heartfelt social media post, Sajjanar expressed her gratitude, stating, “He didn’t know me. We had never met. He just wanted to see an Indian athlete win on the global stage. That rifle levelled the playing field for me, allowing me to train without compromise, take on the best in the world, and achieve what I have today.”

Recently, Sajjanar showcased her talent by winning a gold medal in the team event and securing an individual bronze in the 10m Air Rifle category at the Asian Championship held at the Karni Singh Range. Additionally, she earned bronze medals at the World Championship in Cairo in both 2022 and 2025.
