Aman Patel emerged victorious in the Open Men’s Singles category at the Kolkata Open, a PWR 400 event sanctioned by the Indian Pickleball Association, held on May 2. He showcased an impressive performance in the final, defeating Arunava Majumder with scores of 11-5 and 11-3. Throughout the match, Aman maintained a strong grip on the game, demonstrating precise shot-making and unwavering composure. He set the rhythm of the rallies from the outset, preventing his opponent from gaining any momentum and clinching the match in straight sets.
In the semifinals, Aman displayed remarkable resilience, overcoming Tejas Gulati with a score of 12-10, 11-2. The first game was tightly contested, testing his composure, but he bounced back decisively in the second game to secure his spot in the final.
On the other side of the bracket, Arunava Majumder reached the final after a challenging semifinal against Purvansh Patel, winning 13-11, 3-11, 11-8. This match highlighted Arunava’s ability to remain calm under pressure, especially after losing the second game.
However, in the final showdown, Aman’s strategic execution proved too much for Arunava, leading to a convincing win. This victory marks a significant milestone for Aman Patel in the PWR 400 series, emphasizing his skill and consistency in the Open Men’s Singles division.
