Victory at Picklebay Zonals – North


Naomi and Pearl Amalsadiwala claimed the championship in the Women's Doubles division at the Picklebay Zonals – North, a PWR 700 event sanctioned by the Indian Pickleball Association (IPA). This competition took place at Horizon x Courtplay in Gurgaon on June 26. The sisters displayed remarkable consistency throughout the tournament, ultimately defeating Isha Lakhani and Naimi Mehta in the final with scores of 11-8 and 11-5.


To reach the final, the Amalsadiwala sisters had to overcome a challenging semifinal match against Snehal Kishor Patil and Khushi Desai. Despite facing tough competition, they managed to secure their spot in the final with a close victory of 11-7, 11-10.


In the final match, the first set was competitive, with Isha and Naimi putting up a strong fight before succumbing to Naomi and Pearl's skill, finishing at 11-8. The sisters maintained their momentum in the second set, decisively winning 11-5 to secure the women's doubles title. Earlier in the tournament, they had also triumphed over Punji Kailash Rawal and Gurleen Singh with a score of 15-11 to advance to the semifinals.
