Ajinkya Rahane's New Role in Cricket Commentary

Mumbai: Former Indian cricket captain Ajinkya Rahane is set to embark on a new journey as he transitions from playing to commentary during the upcoming two-Test series against Sri Lanka.

Rahane will make his debut in Test commentary when India visits Sri Lanka starting August 15.

This change comes shortly after he concluded an impressive first-class career that lasted nearly 18 years. The 37-year-old, who has spent a significant portion of his career in the high-pressure environment of Test cricket, will now provide insights from the commentary box, analyzing key tactical decisions and pivotal moments that define a five-day match.

With a remarkable Test record of 5,077 runs from 85 matches, including 12 centuries and 26 half-centuries, Rahane's extensive experience in diverse conditions is expected to enrich the broadcast with an insider's viewpoint.
