Adrian le Roux Appointed as India's New Strength and Conditioning Coach

Adrian le Roux has been appointed as the new Strength and Conditioning Coach for Team India, marking his return to the role after previously serving from 2002 to 2003. With extensive experience in international cricket, he transitions from a six-year stint with Punjab Kings. Le Roux will lead the team in the upcoming Test series against England, aiming for a historic victory not achieved since 2007. This series also marks the beginning of the new World Test Championship cycle.

Adrian le Roux has been appointed as the Strength and Conditioning Coach for Team India. The South African sports science expert takes over this role following the resignation of Soham Desai.


Returning to Team India

This marks le Roux's second stint with the Indian cricket team, having previously served from January 2002 to May 2003. With over 20 years of experience in international cricket and sports science, he is returning to a familiar position.


Bidding Farewell to Punjab Kings

After a six-year tenure with the IPL franchise Punjab Kings, le Roux embarks on his new journey. He shared a heartfelt message on Instagram to mark this transition.


A Rich IPL History

Le Roux has a significant history in the Indian Premier League, having worked with Kolkata Knight Riders from 2008 to 2019, during which the team secured two championships under Gautam Gambhir's captaincy in 2012 and 2014. He joined Punjab Kings in 2018 and remained until 2024.


Upcoming Test Series Against England

In his new capacity, le Roux will oversee the five-match Test series against England, commencing on June 20 in Leeds. The matches will take place at Edgbaston, Lord’s, Old Trafford, and The Oval.


Under the leadership of Shubman Gill, Team India aims to achieve a historic victory in England, a feat not accomplished since 2007. This series will also kick off the new cycle of the World Test Championship, running until August 4.
