Aditya Khanna Takes on New Role as Treasurer of Asian Pickleball Association

Aditya Khanna's New Appointment


Aditya Khanna from India has recently been appointed as the Treasurer of the Asian Pickleball Association (APA) by the Global Pickleball Federation (GPF). Earlier this year, he was also designated as the Continent Director on the GPF's Board of Directors, which consists of three members. Khanna is recognized as a pivotal figure in the growth of pickleball in India, serving as the CEO of the Indian Pickleball Association (IPA), which is the National Sports Federation for the sport in the country. Additionally, he holds the position of Secretary General at the APA, which is the continental member of the GPF.


Khanna has been instrumental in uniting Asian nations and establishing a solid organizational structure for pickleball across the continent. He played a key role in the launch of the Indian Pickleball League (IPBL) in December 2025, which has significantly enhanced both competitive play and grassroots involvement in India and Asia.



Previously a professional tennis player, Khanna currently leads the Indian 40+ Tennis Team and ranks among the top 10 in ITF Masters globally. He has also acted as Tournament Director for significant Davis Cup matches, including those against Spain and Denmark. In addition to his sports career, Khanna is a successful entrepreneur with ventures in textiles, real estate, and sports, and he is a strategic partner in India's Tennis Premier League.


Khanna holds an undergraduate degree from the London School of Economics and a master's from the University of Oxford. Before his sports career, he worked in investment banking in London, leveraging his international experience to enhance the professional landscape of sports in India and Asia.

Founded in November 2023, the Global Pickleball Federation (GPF) serves as a non-profit international governing body dedicated to the unification, development, and promotion of pickleball globally. Its mission includes supporting athlete development and fostering local pickleball communities. With over 80 member nations, the GPF aims to standardize rules, coaching, and equipment while seeking recognition from the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The organization also promotes grassroots initiatives and international competitions, providing a standardized rulebook, managing player rankings, and offering training for coaches and officials.
