During the APL player auction, Nechim remarked, "The Assam Premier League is essential; it serves as a genuinely beneficial platform for our younger players. We had over 270 participants in the auction, and I was familiar with only about 120 of them."

He further explained, "This highlights the vast pool of untapped talent in Assam. The league offers every player a chance to be recognized."

Reflecting on his own experiences in the IPL, Nechim cited his journey and that of Indian cricketer Riyan Parag as examples of the heights that Assam's players can achieve.

"Every player and franchise aims to win the tournament. However, envision if players from APL franchises advance to the IPL or even represent India next year. This league truly provides that opportunity and will benefit Assam cricket for years to come," he stated.

The Assam Premier League, organized by the Assam Cricket Association under the motto "Aamar Axom, Aamar Gourab," unites franchise teams from across the state, including the Guwahati Royals, and aims to create a professional T20 environment for emerging talents alongside established players.
