Abu Dhabi T10's New Era Begins

Abu Dhabi is set to elevate 'Cricket's Fastest Format' as the Abu Dhabi Cricket & Sports Hub (ADCSH) takes over majority ownership and commercial rights of the Abu Dhabi T10. This shift marks the tournament's transition into a fully Abu Dhabi-managed event.

Scheduled for 7-20 November 2026 at the renowned Zayed Cricket Stadium, this edition will be the first to operate under the new management structure. Eight franchises and potential ownership groups will be invited to join, with more details regarding the 'Invitation To Tender' process to be revealed soon.

Strategic Growth and Governance

With the new framework, ADCSH aims to manage the Abu Dhabi T10 as a long-term national sports asset, backed by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) and the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB). His Excellency Aref Al Awani, Chairman of ADCSH and General Secretary of ADSC, stated, "This evolution signifies enhanced governance and a clear strategy for global growth in the sport's fastest format. It represents a fresh beginning for a tournament that has quickly gained international relevance and a growing fanbase in Abu Dhabi."

"Our commitment remains to deliver high-energy 10-over matches featuring international stars, alongside a dynamic broadcast product that adapts to modern audiences. Our goal is to transform the Abu Dhabi T10 from a successful cricket event into a significant sporting asset for the region and our team owners."

Building a Global Profile

The 2025 Abu Dhabi T10 successfully enhanced the tournament's global visibility, generating $512 million in media value and achieving 687 million social media impressions, as reported by GSIQ. The format's rapid pace and entertainment value have established Abu Dhabi as a key player in the T10 cricket landscape.

Support from Key Stakeholders

"The Emirates Cricket Board endorses the new structure established by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and ADCSH for the T10 tournament," remarked Khalid Al Zarooni, Vice Chairman of the ECB. "This innovative format has carved a niche in the global cricket calendar and is poised to further enrich the UAE's sporting environment. We are committed to ensuring that all sanctioned events adhere to the highest standards for the sport's long-term growth in the nation."

"This marks a significant milestone in the evolution of the T10 brand," added Shaji Ul Mulk, Chairman of Mulk International. "I am excited about this partnership and believe that the Abu Dhabi T10 is now equipped with the necessary structure and support to reach its full potential, paving the way for exciting growth and enhanced global relevance."

Future Growth Prospects

For ADCSH, this transition signifies a thrilling opportunity for the region's leading community sports hub, which is on track to make a global impact. Matt Boucher, CEO of ADCSH and the newly appointed CEO of Abu Dhabi T10, expressed enthusiasm for the event's future. "The Abu Dhabi T10 originated from Shaji's ambitious vision and has evolved into a premier cricket property. We are eager to lay the groundwork for its next growth phase, focusing on governance, player structuring, and a robust commercial and broadcast platform. These foundations will enable the event to thrive while supporting Abu Dhabi's broader tourism and sports goals."

As discussions for franchises commence under the new management, Abu Dhabi's message is clear: the legacy of the Abu Dhabi T10 is established, and its future is firmly supported for sustainable growth.
