He acknowledged the impressive performance of Malaysia's Ng Eain Yow, who defeated him with scores of 9-11, 5-11, and 5-11 in the final match held on Sunday. Ranked 26th globally, Abhay struggled to keep pace with the consistency of the world No. 17, who successfully defended his title.

In a post-match interview, Abhay praised Ng Eain Yow for his strong gameplay, stating that he felt he performed adequately. "I am a bit disappointed, but I hope to regroup and aim for a better medal next week. I believe I faced a very formidable opponent who executed his game plan effectively. All credit goes to him," he remarked.

Looking Ahead to Future Competitions

Abhay is now setting his sights on upcoming challenges, including the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics and the Commonwealth Games. In another notable achievement, 18-year-old Anahat Singh secured a silver medal in the women's singles squash competition, despite losing to Malaysia's Sivasangari Subramaniam with a score of 3-0 on Sunday.
