Historic Maiden Flight of India's C-295

New Delhi: The Indian Air Force (IAF) announced on Wednesday that the first domestically produced C-295 military transport aircraft has successfully completed its inaugural flight.

The IAF is set to acquire a total of 56 C-295 aircraft, with an investment of approximately Rs 21,935 crore.

Out of these, Tata Advanced Systems Limited will assemble 40 units in collaboration with Airbus at a manufacturing site located in Vadodara.

The IAF extended its congratulations to the entire team responsible for the successful maiden flight of this first Indian-made C-295.

This milestone highlights India's advancing aerospace capabilities and emphasizes the IAF's dedication to enhancing indigenous defense production in line with the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
