China's Latest Launch: A New Satellite for Pakistan and Astronaut Training
China Successfully Launches Pakistani Satellite
Beijing: On Saturday evening, China successfully launched a satellite for Pakistan from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Centre located in Shanxi Province.
The satellite, designated PRSC-EO3, was propelled into space at 8:15 p.m. local time using a Long March-6 rocket, achieving its intended orbit, as reported by a state-run news agency.
This marks the fourth satellite that China has launched for Pakistan since the previous year.
In total, China has sent three Pakistani satellites into orbit last year alone.
This ongoing collaboration highlights the strengthening of the all-weather partnership between China and Pakistan, extending into the realm of space exploration.
In a related development, two Pakistani candidates selected for astronaut training arrived in Beijing on April 24.
These astronauts will undergo training at the Astronaut Centre of China, working alongside their Chinese counterparts, as announced by the China Manned Space Agency.
Upon successful completion of their training and evaluations, one of them is set to become the first foreign astronaut to join a mission aboard China's Tiangong space station.
