New Delhi, Dec 5: The 11th edition of the India International Science Festival (IISF) is scheduled to kick off tomorrow, showcasing the advancements in science across the nation, as announced by government officials on Friday.


Taking place from December 6 to 9 in Panchkula, Haryana, the IISF 2025 aims to connect traditional knowledge with modern scientific practices, thereby enhancing the relationship between India's rich indigenous heritage and current scientific research.


According to an official statement, "IISF 2025 continues a decade-long national initiative to position science at the forefront of India's development strategy."


Since its inception in 2015, the festival has become a significant venue for scientific dialogue, innovation, outreach, and public participation, consistently growing in scale through various programs and initiatives with extensive involvement.


The 2025 festival aims to build on this foundation by aligning science, technology, and innovation with national objectives, fostering collaboration among ministries, research bodies, academia, industry, and civil society. It underscores India's dedication to science-driven progress and supports the broader vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.


The theme for IISF 2025 is 'Vigyan Se Samruddhi: for Aatmanirbhar Bharat', which seeks to honor and promote the ethos of science-led development for a self-sufficient and thriving India.
