Arrival of Shiv Chelas Marks Spiritual Journey

As part of the Shri Manimahesh Yatra 2026, the esteemed Shiv Chelas from Sanchui village, who are descendants of Trilochan Mahadev, have reached the sacred grounds of Bhramour today. Their arrival, adorned in traditional garments and performing ancient rituals, infused the environment with a sense of spirituality and reverence.

The Shiv Chelas received a warm and ceremonial welcome from the Secretary of Shri Manimahesh Nyas, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Civil) of Bhramour, the Tehsildar, and members of the Nyas. They were honored with floral garlands, tilak, shawls, and traditional caps.

Recognized as essential bearers of long-standing religious customs, folk beliefs, and cultural heritage, the Shiv Chelas of Sanchui embody a spiritual journey characterized by penance, discipline, and deep devotion, enhancing the sanctity of the Manimahesh Yatra.

After their arrival, the Shiv Chelas will engage in the ritual circumambulation of the historic Chaurasi Temples and will stay there for two days, offering blessings to the devotees. On September 18, 2026, they will head to the sacred Manimahesh Dal Lake to carry out the traditional ritual of ‘Dal Todne’, a practice that holds significant importance in the spiritual and cultural heritage of the Yatra.

This pilgrimage of the Shiv Chelas transcends a mere religious event; it serves as a vibrant representation of the region's ancient beliefs, folk devotion, and rich cultural legacy.
