The historic Kartik Swami Temple in Kugti has reopened its doors to worshippers after being closed for 134 days. The reopening took place on Tuesday, marked by traditional rituals and a havan-puja that commenced around 10 a.m.
Following these sacred ceremonies, a large number of devotees gathered to receive the blessings of Lord Kartik Swami.
Temple priest Machlu Ram Sharma shared that the temple was officially opened for darshan after the rituals were completed, and the turnout of devotees was significant, highlighting the day's importance.
The Bharmaur administration made extensive arrangements to ensure a smooth experience for visitors, focusing on cleanliness, electricity, water supply, road access, restroom facilities, and parking. Additionally, transport services were enhanced, including special bus routes provided by the Himachal Road Transport Corporation for those traveling from afar.
As in previous years, a community feast (bhandara) was organized, with local youth, led by Tilak Sharma, actively serving the attendees. A night-long devotional vigil (jagran) also took place, featuring participation from priests and local community members.
Many devotees observing the Kartik vrat attended in large numbers to express their devotion and seek blessings. The entire event unfolded peacefully and in an organized manner, thanks to the collaboration between the local administration and the temple committee.
