This decision follows his withdrawal from Islamabad United, despite having signed a contract, to join Kolkata Knight Riders for the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL). The PCB cited a 'fundamental failure to honour agreed-upon commitments' as the reason for this ruling, stating that his actions compromised the integrity of the league.

Official PCB Statement on the Matter

In an official statement, the PCB reiterated its dedication to maintaining high standards of professional conduct and the importance of contractual obligations within the HBL PSL. The board declared Muzarabani ineligible for the next two editions of the league, effective immediately, due to his failure to uphold his commitments, which undermines the league's professional framework.
