YSR Congress Criticizes TDP Government Over Village Secretariat Staff Issues
Concerns Raised by YSR Congress Party
The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has issued a warning to the TDP-led coalition government, urging them not to blame village secretariat employees without providing adequate infrastructure. During a media interaction, the state president of the party's employee and pensioners wing, Nallaru Chandra Sekhar Reddy, stated that the government plans to issue a memorandum regarding the lack of awareness among the public about the use of the 'Mana Mitra App' by over 28,000 village secretariat staff.
Public Awareness and Smartphone Usage
He highlighted that there is a prevailing fear among the public regarding the use of smartphones, with only 20 percent of people utilizing them. The coalition government mistakenly believes that everyone possesses smartphones and can use the app, which is not the case. Furthermore, he criticized the government for dismantling the volunteer system and undermining the village secretariat framework. The government is now contemplating action against employees who are working to raise awareness, even though it falls outside their job responsibilities.
Government's Accountability Questioned
Additionally, he condemned the coalition government for shifting all blame onto the employees without providing necessary facilities, calling it disgraceful. He demanded that the government cease harassing the staff. He also pointed out that the coalition continues its anti-employee policies by withholding dearness allowance (DA), income tax (IR), and other financial benefits, while also misusing their savings for other purposes.
Incident in West Godavari District
Meanwhile, police reported an incident in the village of Chodavaram in West Godavari district, where three members of YSRCP were arrested for allegedly beheading a goat while intoxicated in front of a flex banner of former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. The arrested individuals include Kattula Ramesh, Putta Naveen, and Konda Battula Sai, who were paraded on the main road by the Nallajerla police.
