YouTuber Shadab Jakati Faces Backlash for Unpermitted Store Opening in Meerut
Controversy Surrounds Shadab Jakati's Jewelry Store Launch
YouTuber Shadab Jakati, known for his viral dialogues like 'How much is a packet of biscuits for 10 rupees?', has found himself at the center of a new controversy. On Sunday, April 26, during the inauguration of his new venture, Jakati Jewelers (1mg Gold Showroom) in Meerut, he attracted a massive crowd, violating public order. The influx of thousands led to severe traffic jams in the city, prompting police intervention to manage the situation.
To promote his showroom, Jakati invited several social media influencers, drawing in a large number of young fans and children to the streets of the Noauchandi police station area. The crowd became so unruly that it obstructed the passage of ordinary citizens. Eyewitnesses reported a chaotic scene, with many people struggling to maintain their footing amidst the throng. Some miscreants took advantage of the chaos to steal motorcycles belonging to attendees.
Stampede Over Rinku Singh's Sister's Appearance
The event also featured Neha Singh, sister of cricketer Rinku Singh and a social media influencer. As soon as she arrived, the crowd went wild, eager to take photos with her. The situation escalated to the point where police had to use batons to disperse the crowd.
Police Take Strong Action
SP City Vinayak Bhonsle has adopted a strict stance in light of the incident's seriousness. He stated that no permission was obtained from the administration for the event held in the Noauchandi area. Shadab Jakati and other organizers are facing legal action for gathering a crowd without authorization, blocking public roads, and causing significant inconvenience to the public.
Authorities emphasized that being famous does not exempt individuals from following the law. Social media stars must recognize their responsibilities to ensure that their lack of civic sense does not endanger lives.
