Her arrest occurred on Sunday, as Haryana Police initiated an investigation. Following the news, social media users began to uncover her previous videos related to Pakistan and Instagram posts showcasing her trip to Kashmir, which have intensified suspicions regarding her activities. Superintendent of Police (SP) Hisar, Shashank Kumar Sawan, mentioned that she was being groomed as an asset and had connections with other YouTube personalities and individuals from Pakistan.

During the investigation, authorities discovered that Malhotra had traveled to Pakistan prior to the Pahalgam attack. SP Hisar confirmed that the inquiry is ongoing to determine any potential connections between her visit and the terrorist incident.
