New Delhi, Jun 6: Abhijeet Dipke, the founder of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), has criticized the government for prioritizing the monitoring of their social media activities over addressing pressing demands, including the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan due to alleged examination and recruitment irregularities.

Dipke was present at a demonstration at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on Saturday, which saw a significant turnout of youth and was conducted under strict security measures.

He expressed, "This is a long battle. It has been a month since we began our online campaign for Pradhan's resignation, yet instead of responding, they have resorted to distractions like hacking our accounts and deleting our posts. You can erase our posts, but you cannot erase our presence here," as he rallied the crowd's enthusiasm.

Dipke also announced that activist Sonam Wangchuk would soon join the protest and expressed gratitude for his support.

Reflecting on his arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport earlier that day, he shared feelings of impending loss of freedom, stating, "I was ready to sacrifice my freedom for this cause."

He claimed that many individuals have compromised their integrity out of fear of imprisonment.

"Lekin is desh ka chatra, yuva nahi bika hai (The youth and students of this country have not sold themselves)," he declared, receiving loud cheers from the audience.

Hundreds of participants, primarily young people, attended the protest, many donning cockroach masks and carrying flowers. Students were also seen with their parents at the event.

The crowd consisted mainly of school and college students, along with young professionals.

Many students gathered at the site, chanting slogans and calling for the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Dipke, who arrived in Delhi earlier, urged his supporters to remain disciplined and ensure the protest was peaceful.

The CJP, a youth-driven online movement, organized the protest to demand accountability for alleged irregularities in various examinations and recruitment tests, including NEET, CBSE, CUET, and SSC.

In anticipation of the protest, security measures were intensified across the national capital.

Police officials reported that additional personnel were deployed at Indira Gandhi International Airport, border entry points, and other sensitive areas.

Over 1,000 police personnel were assigned to various locations throughout New Delhi as a precautionary measure.

Prior to the protest, the CJP had issued guidelines urging participants to conduct themselves peacefully and avoid any confrontations.

Dipke reiterated these instructions, emphasizing the importance of respectful interactions with law enforcement during the event.
