Incident Reported in Varanasi

In a shocking incident from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, a young woman has reported being sold for marriage for a sum of 1 lakh rupees. She has accused a man named Altaf of attempting to sell her into marriage. Three individuals have been named as suspects in this case.

The victim, who has been identified as Neha (a pseudonym), recounted her ordeal, stating that she was taken to a court for marriage against her will. She managed to reach the police station to file a complaint. Neha explained that she was on her way to visit her sister when she met Altaf on the train, who initiated a conversation that led to their friendship.

During their discussions, Altaf persuaded her to accompany him to Farrukhabad. Trusting him, she agreed, but when they reached Agra and found no transportation, they decided to head to Mainpuri instead. Altaf claimed he was visiting relatives there, but he took her to the Karhal police station area, where he began discussing marriage with a boy named Hridesh.

Hridesh's relative, Ramnivas Pal, also pressured her regarding the marriage. The three men attempted to take her to the Karhal tehsil to formalize the marriage. Neha expressed her unwillingness to marry, which led Ramnivas to reveal that Altaf had sold her for 1 lakh rupees. Seizing an opportunity, she managed to escape and went directly to the police.

Following her complaint, the police registered a case against Altaf, Ramnivas Pal, and Hridesh under serious charges. All three suspects are currently on the run, and efforts are underway to apprehend them. Authorities have stated that they are working diligently to locate the suspects. The victim is undergoing a medical examination and will be presented in court afterward.
